Sorry for the radio silence. Life's been moderately eventful in frustrating bursts at me, and all thoughts are of the 140-characters-or-less variety.

In other news, my computer is on death's door, and it might be a month or two until I can afford to replace it. I'd say don't anybody panic if I disappear, but, well...

Honestly, girl... I iz shocked your computer lasted that long. It's gotta be more than 5 years old!

It's functional, but a little noisy right now. I'm hoping the fan just jarred loose and tightening it up will help, but honestly, with his talk of hard drive death and Afi's descriptions of fun stuff right before hers died, it has me worried.

And I have no way to back up 300+GB of accumulated stuff just in case, y'know? I really am hoping to get a new comp and copy things over before it explodes all Hollywood-style on me.

(I am backing up important stuff piecemeal, to disk. I ain't that dumb. :)

I was, and lost everything in October. ~440GB down the drain. About 1/5th of it could be replaced but the other stuff... *sigh*

After one close shave and horror stories from a couple of other folks, I hope I never, ever go through it. ERF.
