Another one bites the dust.
Sunday, 2 June 2013 11:39 amThe neighbors say they're looking for a new place to live, because there are too many repairs needed upstairs. This isn't a new story--several departing neighbors said the same thing, usually meaning that they didn't have rent and wanted the landlord to give them a free month for a little free work mowing lawns or tightening faucets. That's the problem with the landlord's whole 'arrangement' with tenants. Some of them even break things just to repair them around the first of the month.
Of course, given that the previous tenants were a pair of crackheads who put holes in all the walls, and doors, and several of the windows--these guys moved in specifically to fix the place up, in fact--and that the roof needs serious repairs after some of his tenants' patch-jobs in recent years, I'm willing to believe the apartment has been a whole mess of trouble for the guys. Especially this past month, since the city seems to be determined to make up for last year's drought with lots and lots of rain.
So now we just wait for them to move out and the next batch to move in, and see what fresh hell they bring along.
And maybe daydream while looking up houses for rent...
