mokie: Stonehenge with the sun shining through the stones (holiday hippie)
On this day in 1967, a bootyload of hippies gathered in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park for the Human Be-In to question authority, promote individuality, talk about ecology, and groove to the Grateful Dead. This 'gathering of the tribes' is credited with kicking off the Summer of Love, which inadvertently turned San Francisco into a counterculture mecca to which more than 100,000 idealistic young people flocked - along with thousands of grifters looking to prey on them.

Today, why not be-in wherever you-are? Load up some Dead on Spotify, smoke 'em if you got 'em, and giggle at the 14th also being the Feast of the Ass!

Edited to add: Or you could have done what I did, which is be confined to the hammock under a penguin-shaped humidifier for 12 hours with a raging sinus infection. Not sure if what's growing in my nose counts as 'counterculture', but it's definitely rebelling against the status quo.

About dream/reading tags

y-* tags categorize dreams.

For types: beyond the obvious, there are dreamlets (very short dreams), stubs (fragment/outline of a partially-lost dream), gnatter (residual impression of a lost dream).

For characters: there are roles (characters fitting an archetype), symbols (characters as symbols), and sigils (recurring figures with a significance bigger than a single dream's role/symbolism).

x-* tags categorize books.

Material is categorized primarily by structure, style and setting. If searching for a particular genre, look for the defining features of that genre, e.g. x-form:nonfic:bio, x-style:horror, x-setting:dystopian.
