mokie: Earthrise seen from the moon (Default)
The kittens are in serious clingy mode. They come over and climb in the lap for what I think is five or ten minutes of snuggle time before they get distracted, but no--it's fifteen, twenty minutes of hardcore, end of the world, MUST SNUGGLE NOW, kneading and smurgling time. Then I can't take the clawing and wetness and attempts to dislodge my glasses anymore and set them down with a nudge to go play, but they try to climb back in the lap, over and over and over again until I am forced to shut them out of the room just to get some work done.

If I stand up and walk through the house? They weave between the feet, lay down on them when I stop, and whine at whatever I'm doing up here at people height.

I'm used to this in short bursts, as part of the Feed Me! routine or occasional Pet Me! moments during the day, but this has been going on non-stop since yesterday.

I made soap, so maybe the house smells weird and it's wigged them out.

The neighbors are moving, so maybe there is a slew of strange new noises that have them worried.

I haven't taken an allergy pill in two days, so maybe they see an opening to seize power.

I don't know, folks. But if there's an earthquake tomorrow or I have a seizure, I want this noted for posterity.

About dream/reading tags

y-* tags categorize dreams.

For types: beyond the obvious, there are dreamlets (very short dreams), stubs (fragment/outline of a partially-lost dream), gnatter (residual impression of a lost dream).

For characters: there are roles (characters fitting an archetype), symbols (characters as symbols), and sigils (recurring figures with a significance bigger than a single dream's role/symbolism).

x-* tags categorize books.

Material is categorized primarily by structure, style and setting. If searching for a particular genre, look for the defining features of that genre, e.g. x-form:nonfic:bio, x-style:horror, x-setting:dystopian.
