My mother's on a knitting kick, and made me toeless socks.

I was very surprised, and tried to be polite without letting on that I just did not get it. Toeless socks? But it's my toes that get coldest!

But now, sitting here with my flip-flops and my toeless socks and feeling quite comfy on this moderately chilly morn, I get it.

(Also, surprised that I missed the "surprised" keyword for my icons. That's what I get for organizing when I'm sick.)

Can I ask a favour? I have a bunch of friends in the US who need lube and stuff, and it's a pain shipping it across the border. If I send you moneyz, can you mail care packages to them? Tell me how much would be a reasonable per-diem charge for your time, too.

I'd say a flat $20 to cover travel should be fine, since I don't drive. I won't charge you for a favor. :)
